Who is this article for?

Noise analysts who need to record formation flights against an operation.

Access to the ANOMS Noise Analyst Workbench is required.

ANOMS provides a field to record the number of aircraft assigned to an operation, typically needed when military aircraft fly in formation and either only one beacon is switched on, or the aircraft are so close together that the radar can only produce one track.

Recording the number of aircraft

Use the NACI (Number of Aircraft) field on the Operations Editor to record the number of aircraft in the formation.

To record the number of aircraft:

1. From the Operations Browser, select the required operation.
2. Right-click and select Edit Operations.
3. In the NACI field, type the number of aircraft in the formation.
4. Click Save.
