Who is this article for?

Noise analysts who need to unlink a noise event or change its classification.

Access to the ANOMS Noise Analyst Workbench is required.

You can unlink a noise event from its correlation or reclassify it without changing its link.

Unlinking a noise event

Note: Before you start, ensure that Browser Linking is disabled.

To unlink a noise event:

1. Populate the Noise Events Browser.
2. Select the required Noise Event.
3. Right-click and select Edit Correlation.
4. Click the Unlink option.
5. Click Apply.
6. Under Noise Event Classification, click the appropriate classification.
7. Type a comment.
8. Click OK.

The Event Editor dialogue box appears, and the Correlation ID is set to 0. The available classifications when unlinking are:

• Community Noise
• Wind Noise
• Equipment Malfunction

Reclassifying a noise event

Reclassifying changes the classification of a noise event without changing its link. It is only available when a noise event alone is selected.

To reclassify a noise event:

1. Populate the Noise Events Browser.
2. Select the required Noise Event.
3. Right-click and select Edit Correlation.
4. Click the Reclassify option.
5. Click Apply.
6. Under Noise Event Classification, click the appropriate classification.
7. Click OK.

The Event Editor dialogue box appears. The available classifications when reclassifying are:

• Single local aircraft
• Multiple local aircraft
• Simultaneous local and non-local aircraft
• Simultaneous community and local aircraft
