Understanding the Recognition Assessment field
Who is this article for?Noise analysts who want to understand the Recognition Assessment field in the Noise Events Browser.
Access to the ANOMS Noise Analyst Workbench is required. The Recognition Algorithm must be enabled for your site.
The Recognition Assessment field in the Noise Events Browser indicates whether the recognition algorithm judged a noise event to have been caused by an aircraft.
Understanding how recognition assessment works
The Recognition function determines the likelihood that a noise event was caused by an aircraft. The detection is performed in the EMU (the monitoring terminal's environmental monitoring unit), with the results then processed by ANOMS. The detection algorithm requires tuning to attain reliable operation.
Enabling the recognition assessment feature
To display the results of the recognition algorithm, the feature must be turned on in the Configurator. Contact your ANOMS site administrator for more details.
Note: This feature must be enabled before recognition assessment results will appear in the Noise Events Browser.
