Understanding ANOMS Query Generator datasources
Who is this article for?Noise analysts who want to understand the datasources available to the Query Generator.
Access to the ANOMS Noise Analyst Workbench is required.
Every Query Generator query is built on exactly one datasource, and this article explains what each available datasource contains to help you select the right starting point for your query.
Understanding how datasources, relations and fields work together
When you select a datasource, its available Relations are automatically displayed in the Relations list. Selecting a Relation then filters the Fields list to show only the fields available in that relation. Fields contain the actual records of data — text and numeric values. Your criteria and print statements are built from these datasource, relation and field combinations.
Note: A query can only use one datasource. Use Excel if you need to join data from multiple datasources.
Choosing from available datasources
The following datasources are available in Query Generator:
Datasource | Description |
ANOMS | Event-based data: noise events, tracks, operations and complaints. |
Summary | Hourly and daily noise statistics. |
One Second Noise | One-second noise samples. |
Aircraft | FAA database of aircraft owners and aircraft data. |
Noise Events | Data for each noise event. |
Tracks | Track points for each track. |
Descriptions of each relation and field are available in the online help under Database, Tables, Relations and Fields.
