Understanding Operations Browser field reference
Who is this article for?Noise analysts who need a reference for the fields in the Operations Browser.
Access to the ANOMS Noise Analyst Workbench is required. Browser fields are site-configurable and may vary.
The Operations Browser displays information about flight track Operations during a specified time period, with the top row showing data field names followed by a row for each individual Operation.
Using the Operations Browser
The Operations Browser allows you to:
- Display Operations data for a specific time period
- View a graphical representation of distance vs. altitude for single or multiple Operations
- View the properties of an Operation
- Quickly access the Operations editor to enter, edit and save Operation details
- Copy the Operation data to the clipboard or to an Excel worksheet
- Display the flight track for the Operation in 2D or 3D on the Map Browser
- Manually link or unlink Plans and Operations
- Export Operations
Understanding field definitions
The following table describes each field available in the Operations Browser:

Actual Date/Time | Operation date and time |
Operation # | The Operation number |
Corr ID | Correlation ID number that links a flight Operation to its Complaint(s) and/or Noise Event(s) |
Release Time | Date and time the aircraft is pushed back from the terminal |
Proposed Time | The scheduled date and time of arrival or departure |
Track Start | Beginning date and time of the radar track |
Track End | Ending date and time of the radar track |
Airport ID | Airport where the Operation occurred (IATA code) |
Flight No | Flight number (commercial airline) |
Tail No | Tail number (general aviation) |
Airline | Airline owner's 3-letter ICAO code (for example, UAL) |
Aircraft Type | Aircraft type, 4-character ICAO code (for example, B727) |
Runway Name | Runway where the aircraft Operation occurred (for example, 27R) |
Path Name | The preferential noise route or corridor the flight has been assigned |
Beacon | Aircraft code assigned by the FAA (4-digit octal) |
Operation Type | Operation type: Arrival, Departure, Overflight, Ground, Touch-Go |
Waypoint | A fixed position in space as indicated on the flight plan |
Operator Categ. | Operator category designated by a letter, for example C = Commercial, G = General Aviation, M = Military |
AC Categ. | Aircraft category designated by a letter, for example J = Jet, P = Propeller |
NACI | Number of Aircraft Indicator, used to identify the number of aircraft flying in a formation |
Type | Indicates if the record is a Plan (P), Operation (O), or a linked Plan and Operation (PO) |
Matched | Displays Yes for all linked Plans and Operations if the browser is set to Combined |
