Managing browser columns
Who is this article for?Noise analysts who want to arrange browser columns to suit their work.
Access to the ANOMS Noise Analyst Workbench is required.
You can sort, move, hide and split browser columns to arrange data the way you want to read it.
Sorting columns
To sort your browser columns:
- Click the column heading (the first click sorts in ascending order, a second click sorts in descending order).
- To sort by additional columns, hold the Shift key and click another column heading.
Note: To keep your column settings, save them with your layout using the Save Layout option.
Moving columns
To move a column to a new position:
- Click the column header.
- Drag the header to a new position and release the mouse button (red arrows indicate the new position for the column).
Hiding columns
To hide a column:
- Select the column header.
- Right-click and select Hide Column.
Unhiding columns
To unhide a column:
- Click a row in the browser.
- Right-click and select Columns.
- Click the hidden column name to display it.
Splitting the data view
Splitter bars let you view two parts of a wide or long data set at once.
To create a vertical split:
- Click the column splitter tool in the browser.
- Drag the splitter bar left or right to position the split.
A horizontal splitter bar is also available for splitting rows.
Choosing which columns display
To choose which columns display:
- Right-click in the browser and select Browser Settings.
- Tick or untick columns to show or hide them.
Note: Browser fields are configurable and can vary by site. Contact your ANOMS administrator if your columns differ.
