Who is this article for?

Noise analysts who need to find information in the ANOMS Help system.

Access to the ANOMS Noise Analyst Workbench is required.

ANOMS includes an online help system with context-sensitive help, browsable topics, keyword searching, a favourites folder, and a glossary.

Accessing context-sensitive help

To access context-sensitive help for a specific window, browser, or dialogue box:

1. Press F1 in any ANOMS Noise Analyst Workbench window, browser, or dialogue box.

Finding general and how-to information

To browse general information and task instructions:

1. Go to the Noise Analyst Workbench Help menu.
2. Click Help.
3. Browse help topics using the Contents list in the left pane.
4. Use the Back and Forward buttons to browse through related topics.

Searching by keyword

To search the help system for specific terms:

1. In the Help window, click the Index tab to select from indexed topics.
2. Alternatively, click the Search tab to perform a full-text search of the help files.
