Understanding gates in ANOMS

A gate is a vertical surface, or window in space, that aircraft pass through along their flight paths.
Understanding the purpose of gates
Gates are one of the core track-keeping tools in ANOMS and underpin penetration analysis, corridors, and holding zone detection.
Using gates for analysis
Once gates are created, they can be used to:
- Identify tracks that pass through restricted or identified airspace
- Produce Penetration Gate plots
- Display gates on the map in 2D and 3D modes
- Produce Gate Analysis reports

Determining when a flight qualifies for Gate Analysis
To qualify for Gate Analysis, the flight track must pass through the gate, and the gate must be active.
A flight track penetrates a gate when it crosses the vertical surface between the gate's two endpoints, floor, and ceiling.
Note: Gates can be placed end to end to cover a wider area of airspace.
